October 13-14, students spent 2 days in the
computer lab in order to give students a chance to
complete Phase II. Students were required to
show a project journal that includes research and a
bibliography, and a completed "Procedural Plan for
Action"(P 47 student guide) on or before Oct. 16.
There was no other homework assigned for
science Oct 13-16. Students who failed to
select a satisfactory topic by Monday, Oct. 13,
were assigned a topic.

Science Projects are due November 25, 2008.
Students will be expected to complete Phase 1 and 2 by the end of Quarter 1 (October 16, 2008). Phase 1 includes brainstorming topics, writing two investigative questions for each topic, consulting with parents and teachers, choosing a suitable topic and forming a hypothesis. All of the above should be recorded in a science project journal, a composition book purchased for the science project. Project journals are required of all students this year. Phase I must be completed by Sept 26.

Students will be given a progress report which must be
completed and turned in at the end of each phase. A science
fair guide, and instructions for each phase will also be given.
